Nate Bargatze just set the Guinness World Record for the most tickets sold on a stand-up comedy tour. His Big Dumb Eyes world tour has sold about 2,016,254 tickets, passing Jeff Dunham’s Spark of Insanity tour, which sold 1,981,720.
Guinness presents the record onstage tonight at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, the first of two Big Dumb Eyes dates there. The number on the certificate gets locked later this weekend. Variety has the exclusive.
Dunham sold those 1,981,720 tickets across 386 venues between September 13, 2007, and August 21, 2010: 35 months and eight days. Bargatze’s tour started April 6, 2025, and crossed two million after 16 months and 10 days, in 128 rooms.
His reps say he broke 84 venue records along the way, including three consecutive sellouts at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in one calendar year. Pollstar had him as the highest-grossing stand-up comic of 2025, at $77.5 million.
